Ken Liu (1976) nació en Lanzhou (China) y emigró a Estados Unidos a los once años. Vive con su familia cerca de Boston, Massachusetts. Considerado uno de los mejores autores de ficción breve de este siglo, ha participado en numerosas adaptaciones de sus obras como series de animación y su multipremiada colección "El zoo de papel y otros relatos" ha sido traducida a una docena de lenguas.
