CENTRO ATLANTICO DE ARTE MODERNO - 9788489152977
This is the plentiful bibliography on Joseph Kosuth, and his many texts, coupled with his scepticism about the contribution of historians and critics when it comes to laying down the theoretical foundations of art creation, defy the publication of new texts. Conceptual art ''says Kosuth'' is much more than a style or an ism, and by the very nature of its discursive project, one of its main purposes is to highlight the responsibility of the contemporary artist as a producer of ideas. In 2007 Kosuth realized four installations, specifically conceived and produced for CAAM in two of it''s exhibition spaces and in two of the city''s museums: Casa Colon and the Museum Canario. It was a question of one of the most outstanding interventions by Joseph Kosuth in Spain, who hadn''t exhibited in Spain since 1995, and of which CAAM published this bilingual monographic catalogue including graphic and theoretic documents.
