Morgoth, the first Dark Lord, dwells in the vast fortress of Angband in the North; and within the shadow of the fear of Angband, and the war waged by Morgoth against the Elves, the fates of Túrin and his sister will be tragically entwined. Alan Lee es el ilustrador de la aclamada edición del centenario de El Señor de los Anillos, así como de la edición conmemorativa de El Hobbit. A partir de 1997 trabajó como diseñador conceptual en la trilogía cinematográfica sobre El Señor de los Anillos dirigida por Peter Jackson y en 2004 recibió un Oscar de la Academia como mejor director artístico por su trabajo en El Retorno del Rey.
