John Wiswell es un escritor discapacitado que vive donde Nueva York se ha dejado todos sus árboles. Ganó el premio Nébula de 2021 al mejor relato con Open House on Haunted Hill, y el premio Locus de 2022 a la mejor novela corta con That Story Isn't The Story. También ha sido finalista del premio Hugo, el British Fantasy Award y el World Fantasy Award. Sus relatos se han publicado en Uncanny Magazine, LeVar Burton Reads, Tor.com y The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.
