Slaughter, longtime president of the Elvis Presley Fan Club in Great Britain, offers yet another Elvis picture book. Progressing chronologically through the King''s career, it features some early classic photos along with many movie stills and a few obscure shots, including one of Slaughter himself with Elvis in the Seventies. The minimal text ably tells the story of the rise of the rock singer for the very few inhabitants on the planet who don''t already know. Though the author obviously knows a lot about and has great respect for his subject, he unfortunately (but understandably) adds little to the vast expanse of Presleyana already in print.
