Hunter Davies (1937) es un escritor y periodista inglés, autor de más de cuarenta obras, desde novelas hasta cuentos para niños, pasando por libros de viajes, historia, sociedad y deporte. Ha escrito también numerosas biografías, que incluyen las de William Wordsworth, Cristóbal Colón o Robert Louis Stevenson, además de la única biografía autorizada de los Beatles. Como periodista ha colaborado en The Sunday Times, The Punch o The Guardian, y actualmente escribe una columna sobre deportes en el New Statesman.
