El guionista y dibujante Wayne Vansant fue el dibujante principal de la serie The 'Nam para la editorial Marvel durante más de cinco años. Desde entonces ha escrito e ilustrado muchas historias gráficas históricamente rigurosas, incluyendo Antietam: The Fiery Trial (para el National Park Service) y The Vietnam War: A Graphic History.; Gettysburg: The graphic history of America's most famous battle and the turning point of the Civil War; Normandía: Una historia gráfica del Día-D, La batalla de las Ardenas y El barón Rojo, estas tres últimas publicadas por La Esfera de los Libros. En esta misma editorial, publicará próximamente Bombing Nazy Germany y The battle of the Bulge para Zenith Press.
