XOSE COBAS

Is a teacher in A Coruña, as well as an actor, theater writer, and film and video script director. He has worked as a scriptwriter for Spanish National Radio. He was the first president of the Galician Association of Children’s and Young Adult Literature (GALIX). Among the children’s and young adult books written by this well-known and prolific author are O misterio das badaladas, Cun ollo aberto e outro sen cerrar, A chave das noces, O país durminte, O pazo baleiro, O home que inventou unha maneira de andar, O armario novo de Rubén, Adelaida, Henrique e demais familia, Os ollos de Ramón, and Nube de Neve. He is the winner of the Rañolas Award for best book of the year and the Spanish National Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award (1995).
