David Sumpter, es profesor de Matemáticas aplicadas en la universidad de Uppsala, en Suecia, donde dirige el colectivo Behaviour Research Group. Es además un reconocido modelador biológico y en su tiempo libre entrena a un equipo infantil de fútbol. Sus investigaciones han aparecido en la revista Science y en las publicaciones de la Royal Society, entre otras.
