Albert Sánchez Piñol (Barcelona, 1965) es antropólogo y escritor. Autor de los ensayos Payasos y monstruos(2000), Quan érem genocides (2017) y Les estructures elementals de la narrativa (2021), Sánchez Piñol ha publicado además el libro Compañía difícil (2000), en colaboracióncon Marcello Fois, y el conjunto de relatos Les edats d’or (2001).
