SOUTH AFRICA, NAMIBIA & BOTSWANA

"En Sudáfrica, en el extremo sur del continente africano, se encuentran desiertos extremos en el Kalahari, en la frontera con Namibia, bosques subtropicales en el sureste, pero también cadenas montañosas como las Drakensberg, paralelas al océano Índico. Playas, exuberantes viñedos y escarpados acantilados en el Cabo de Buena Esperanza marcan la diversidad del país. El Parque Nacional Kruger alberga caza mayor en el interior.
Namibia, situada en el suroeste de África, se caracteriza por el desierto de Namib a lo largo de la costa atlántica. Al norte está el Parque Nacional de Etosha, cuyo salar atrae a numerosos animales salvajes como rinocerontes y jirafas.
El paisaje de Botsuana, país sin salida al mar situado en Sudáfrica, es, por un lado, desértico y, por otro, un enorme delta fluvial con inundaciones estacionales, hábitat de exuberante vegetación y numerosos animales. Este volumen presenta estos tres estados en más de 500 fotografías. El espectáculo natural y el mundo animal no pueden ser más contrastados."

"In Südafrika, an der Südspitze des afrikanischen Kontinents,
findet man extreme Wüsten in der Kalahari an der Grenze zu Namibia, subtropische Wälder im Südosten, aber auch Bergketten wie die Drakensberge parallel zum Indischen Ozean. Strände, üppige Weinberge und schroffe Klippen am Kap der Guten Hoffnung kennzeichnen die Vielfalt des Landes. Der Krüger-Nationalpark beheimatet Großwild im Landesinneren.
Namibia, im Südwesten Afrikas gelegen, wird von der Namib-Wüste entlang der Atlantikküste geprägt. Im Norden liegt der Etoscha-Nationalpark, dessen Salzpfanne zahlreiche Wildtiere wie Nashörner und Giraffen anzieht.
Die Landschaft Botswanas, eines Binnenlandes in Südafrika, ist einerseits Wüste und andererseits ein riesiges Flussdelta mit saisonalen Überschwemmungen, ein Lebensraum für eine üppige Vegetation und viele Tiere. Der vorliegende Band stellt diese drei Staaten in über 500 Bildern vor. Naturschauspiel und Tierwelt könnten kontrastreicher nicht sein."
