Londres, 1934. Raymond Briggs estudió en la Wimbledon School of Art y la Slade School of Art y, aunque comenzó trabajando en publicidad, pronto empezó a ganar notoriedad como ilustrador. Es el autor de los aclamados libros infantiles El muñeco de nieve y Papá Noel. Además de ilustrar libros para numerosos autores, su obra se ha traducido a varios idiomas y se ha adaptado a películas, obras de teatro y animación para televisión. Otros de sus libros son Fungus the Bogeyman, Ug, When the Wind Blows, Ethel y Ernest, una biografía de sus padres y su última obra, Time for Lights Out, reflexiones sobre la vida y una contemplación sobre la vejez contada a través de palabras e imágenes.

Such a nice gift. This is a lovely book for children with beautiful illustrations. I like it.
