Sebastian Seung (Estados Unidos, 1966) estudió Física teórica en la Universidad de Harvard. Antes de incorporarse en el MIT como profesor e investigador, enseñó en la Universidad de Jerusalén, y trabajó en el departamento de Física Teórica de los Laboratorios Bell. Asimismo, es miembro de la Max Planck Society. Ha publicado diversos artículos en la prensa científica y este es su primer libro.
