The publication of this monograph serves to update the information on the building and its history, with unpublished and relevant articles on the decorative art in this residential building. The articles by experts are illustrated with historical, unpublished and current images of La Pedrera. This edition also includes an illustrated chronology.
The collection shows that Gaudí had reached his formal and stylistic peak when he built La Pedrera - Casa Milà.
Its uniqueness and its patrimonial and artistic value were amply demonstrated when it was included in the catalog of the Artistic Heritage of the city of Barcelona in 1962, with the declaration as a Cultural Site of National Interest (BCIN) in 1969, and when UNE- SCO inscribed it as a World Heritage Cultural Site in 1984 for its exceptional universal value.
