Escrito por Simon Kuper
Simon Kuper nació en Kampala (Uganda), en 1969, y se crió entre Londres, los Países Bajos, Estados Unidos, Suecia y Jamaica. Realizó sus estudios universitarios en Oxford, Harvard y en la Technische Universität de Berlín. Además de "Fútbol contra el enemigo" (por el que ganó el William Hill Sports Book of the Year, el galardón literario más importante de libros de temática deportiva) también ha publicado "Ajax, The Dutch, The War: Football in Europe During the Second World War" (2003) y "The Football Men" (2011). También es coautor, junto con Stefan Szymanski, de "Soccernomics" (2009). Como periodista, ha escrito en The Observer, The Guardian y en el Financial Times y también colabora en revistas en Japón, Suiza, Holanda, entre otros países.
En 2007, obtuvo el Premio Internacional de Periodismo Manuel Vázquez Montalbán y en 2011 fue galardonado con el premio al Mejor Comentarista Cultural Británico en los Editorial Intelligence’s Comment Awards por sus escritos en el Financial Times.
Simon Kuper reside en París con su mujer y tres hijos.
