"Pro e conto JUNIOR" teaches youngsters to hold discussions and develop arguments by providing visual stimuli and written extracts which are both relevant and interesting for teenage students. The units are arranged into the following 10 broad topics: sentimenti - famiglia - amore - moda - società - mass media - scuola - tempo libero - (ir)razionalità and cibo. 20 units each pose a specific topical question and provide a variety of related texts to generate ideas. In addition a list of arguments ''pro'' e ''contro'' are included at the end of each unit to aid discussion. Each text is accompanied by a short comprehension exercise to help students pick out arguments and a set of comparative exercises at the end of each unit develops vocabulary.At the end of each unit the students are asked to complete a creative group activity.
