California-based artist Raymond Pettibon (b.1957) is known internationally for his signature ink-wash drawings, which combine cartoon-like images with short, enigmatic texts
His irresistibly compelling and witty drawings reveal all the deviations within American culture - in film, crime, TV, sex, art, religion, sports, comic books and more
A late 1970s underground fanzine artist and designer of record covers for Sonic Youth and Black Flag, Pettibon has risen to become a world-renowned figure
