Michael Moore's book, Stupid White Men, takes both Bush to task and the country that elected him (if indeed it did elect him - Moore ridicules America's ability to hold free and fair elections without U.N observers). He describes America as a country that 'goes out of its way to remain ignorant and stupid'. The book has not only topped the bestseller list in the US, but has also sold strongly in the UK through online booksellers. It probably isn't just what Moore calls 'the Bush family junta' buying up all the copies to keep them off the shelves.
