Escrito por Jim Henson
A. C. H. Smith nació en Kew en 1935. Estudió en el Hampton Grammar School y se graduó en Lenguas Modernas por el Corpus Christi College. Desde 1964 hasta 1973 publicó las novelas The Crowd (1965) y Zero Summer (1971), además de escribir obras para la Royal Shakespeare Company y para el National Theatre. En 1971, el director de cine y teatro Peter Brook lo llevó a Irán para que escribiera un libro sobre el experimento teatral que Brook y Ted Hughes habían emprendido: Orghast at Persepolis, y lo seguirían novelas como Treatment (1976), Sebastian the Navigator (1985), Dentro del laberinto (1986; Nocturna, 2024) y The Dangerous Memoir of Citizen Sade (2000). Algunas de sus obras teatrales son Master of Letters (1979), God’s Wonderful Railway (1985) y la adaptación en 2008 al musical de L’Amour Médecin, de Molière.
