Escrito por Daniel Easterman
Daniel Easterman nació en Irlanda en 1949. Estudió literatura inglesa en el Trinity College de Dublín y literatura persa y árabe en la Universidad de Edimburgo. Entre 1975 y 1979 llevó a cabo investigaciones para su tesis doctoral sobre el Islam chiíta en el King's College de Cambridge. Ha vivido durante algún tiempo fuera de Inglaterra y ha pasado temporadas en Irán y Marruecos. Durante varios años fue profesor universitario de estudios islámicos en Inglaterra. En la actualidad se dedica exclusivamente a escribir, pero tiene un cargo honorífico en la Universidad de Durham. Aparte de sus ocupaciones literarias y académicas, se interesa por la medicina alternativa en el Reino Unido. Vive en el norte de Inglaterra con su mujer y su gato. Ha publicado en esta misma colección las novelas El séptimo santuario, La cofradía del sepulcro, La noche de la séptima oscuridad, El testamento de Judas, El último asesino y La noche del Apocalipsis.
