This book is a compilation of all Edgar Allan Poe short writings, in this book you can read all 67 Edgar´s short writings but also before all stories there is a letter, or an opinion of each story made by the compilers. There more the book starts with stuff like a poem, a Allan Poe´s Biography and some interesting facts about Edgar´s life and stories. Most of books about Poe´s short writings are also compilation but focus on horror stories, looking for the rest of the topics, as metaphysic or gore, is really difficult and most of the time its result in having a lot of book with repeating stories, with this book that problem disappear. Letters before all stories are pretty nice but if you consider unnecessary read them the experience is not affected. Personally I don’t have any bad point to say about the book and its structure, however this book contains only stories of Edgar Allan Poe whereby if the gender isn’t your kind of thing maybe you are on the incorrect side, but if it´s not your case probably you have found one of the best edition of book about Edgar Allan Poe. In my opinion is a 10/10.

El tener toda la narrativa de Poe en un solo volumen comentada por figuras tan prestigiosas es todo un lujo. Sin embargo, aunque la edición en cartoné es robusta, el papel se me antoja demasiado fino: se puede ver cómo las páginas transparentan lo escrito en su otra cara, lo que puede resultar algo molesto. Tal vez hubiera sido mejor idea dividir el libro en dos tomos con un papel de mayor gramaje. Aun así, como digo, el volumen está bien encuadernado... del contenido no voy a decir nada porque cualquier elogio que se le pueda hacer al Maestro de Baltimore se quedará corto.

Cualquier opinión sobre PPOE, sólo es redundar en los vicios edulcurantes de la magia de la idolatría. Sinembargo, un autor de semejantes proporciones no puede ser pasado por alto. Ecxelente.

me parece una de las obras mas buenas que he leido por su alto nivel de terror y como te sobrecoje y te agobia al mismo tiempo que lees. obra negativa con muchas características del Romanticismo
