Cidras, Salvador; Pardo, TaniaSalvador Cidrás (Vigo, 1968) made a name for himself in the mid 1990s with a series of sculptures and drawings that recorded nature. In 24 Hours 10 Minutes, Cidrás examines the value of youth culture, placing special emphasis on the world of adolescent males and the symbolic relationships they develop in their everyday environments. The artist reshapes urban items and practices to reconstruct teenage stereotypes and explore the narratives that interfere with the construction of their identity. A compilation of Cidras' drawings and templates, featuring an interview between the artist and MUSAC's curator, Tania Pardo, with critical texts by Shamin M. Momin, Director and curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Cidras has exhibited internationally including exhibitions at the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid, Main Gallery CGU, Los Angeles, and at the Sparwasser HQ, Berlin.
